All poster presentations are automatically entered into a competition for the best poster. There is no deadline for this award.

New investigator Competition (deadline May 31st)

The New Investigator Competition is an award for the best paper by a graduate student.

Eligibility :
1) You must not yet have your Ph.D. People receiving their Ph.D. in 2011, however, are eligible.
2) Previous winners of the New Investigator Competition are NOT eligible.
3) The paper submitted may be coauthored.

However, to be eligible, the paper must be the result of a project on which the graduate student made the primary contribution. This includes the intellectual contribution, execution, and writing of the submitted document.

Paper specifications : Manuscripts must be double-spaced, no longer than 10,000 words in length (excluding references). Manuscripts longer than this limit will not be considered. Please indicate the word length on the title page of the manuscript. Only papers accepted for oral presentation will be eligible for this award.

Postdoctoral Competition (deadline May 31st)

The Postdoctoral Competition is an award for the best paper by a recent Ph.D.

1) You must have completed your Ph.D. or other postgraduate degree within the past five years (i.e. 2006-2011).
2) Previous winners of the Postdoctoral competition are NOT eligible.
3) The paper submitted may be coauthored.
